HPV Self-Testing Kit

The HygeiaTouch self-sampling kit for women allows women to collect their own vaginal secretions for human papillomavirus PCR genotyping at a medical laboratory. This product aims to enhance safety and reduce psychological stress for users compared to current vaginal cell sampling devices. Clinical trials involving 1,200 women aged 21 to 65, including those with abnormal Pap smears or cervical lesions, showed that self-collected specimens were consistent with physician-collected samples in detecting high-risk types 87.7% of the time. The majority of participants found the self-collection process safe (99.4%), easy (94.8%), and expressed willingness (90.6%) to use self-sampling for cervical screening. This product aligns with the World Health Organization's objective to speed up the elimination of cervical cancer by 2030 by enabling precise self-collection of HPV screening.
