PenSafe is Penguin's location-enabled safety platform. It combines real-time location with rules-based alerting, so when someone is in danger, your team knows who it is and exactly where they are.
Applications on one platform:
Staff Duress: a discreet wearable badge lets staff call for help with one button press. Security receives the alert instantly with the person's identity and room-level location, updated throughout the event.
Infant Protection: tamper-detecting anklets, paired parent tags for mother-baby matching, and instant alerts on unauthorized movement or exit approach. Supports CBAHI maternity standards QM.12.3, QM.13 and QM.20.
Wander Prevention: safe zones for dementia and elopement-risk patients, with alerts the moment they leave.
Hand Hygiene Compliance: location-aware monitoring to support infection control.
Alerts can be routed to security dispatchers, workstations, SMS, email, VoIP phones and access control, and every alarm and response is logged for audit. PenSafe runs on standard BLE 5.1 hardware with Penguin's patented location algorithms, and the same network also supports PenTrack asset tracking.
