Information

From the fifty years of experience of the For.Tec. research and development department, in collaboration with Federico II University of Naples and Luigi Vanvitelli University of Caserta, a new and unique on the market product is born: the hospital waste sterilizer HOWAS 100. Our new concept system for the sterilization of biohazardous waste coming from hospitals, laboratories and clinics, after a first stage of shredding by rotating blades, it treats the loaded material by three combined technologies: pre-sterilization by means of UV-C Rays, temperature increase by means of Thermoresistances, temperature raising and maintaining by means of Microwaves. At the end of the treatment cycle, what was contaminated waste produce is converted into sterilized, inert and dry waste, which is similar to municipal waste and can be valorised by placing it in a further recycling cycle. This innovative and two-times patented technology offers so many advantages to the users: . Easiness of installation in reduced space, allowing thus onsite management of hazardous waste. . Low maintenance costs and low energy consumption, 100% electric. . Easiness of use also by unqualified operators, thanks to a fully automated cycle controlled by Siemens PLC. . Extreme safety of use for operators, having an integrated filtering units to process vapours, dusts and solvents. . Work traceability by means of ticket printer and USB port on the front of the machine for cycle data export. . Effortlessness of use because there is no need for specific segregation in medical waste. . Very high efficiency with a microbial inactivation up to 8log10, thus being compliant with the requirements of all standards in the world, with the European Directives 2006/42/EC and applied harmonized standards related to safety of Machinery.
